Director Tony Scott jumps to death from bridge
” Top Gun and Days of Thunder,” director Tony Scott fatally jumped to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro on Sunday afternoon, according to Los Angeles police sources.
According to the Associated Press, Scott, 68, climbed a fence on the bridge and jumped off around 12:30 p.m. without hesitation.
Angeles Police Department, California Highway Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard officials pulled out his body out of the water in a combine operation.

Law enforcement sources said there are several witnesses who saw Scott, the brother of director Ridley Scott, climb over a fence on the bridge and jump off, said the law enforcement sources.
The coroner’s office identified him Sunday evening.
Scott was a famous action-movie director who also made “Enemy of the State,” “Beverly Hills Cop II,” “Crimson Tide” and “Beverly Hills Cop II.”
